McLaren 675LT is the kind of car everybody desires. But even those with the money to actually buy one may end up disappointed because the thing has a very limited production run. But do not despair because now you can have at least some of that action in your life thanks to a new line of 675LT scale models.
At 55 quid apop, not only is the McLaren 675LT 1:43 scale model the cheapest Mac of them all, it is also the lightest, tipping the scale at 0.120kg. Yeah, I know, it’s not even cute. But McLaren themselves are making a big fuss about this, evidently thinking it is hilarious. They never had a sense of humor, after all. The LTs are made by Minichamps and Chicane Grey is the color of choice for them.
If the 675LT scale model doesn’t float your boat, though, they are also offering a 1:18 Vermillion Red limited launch edition of the 570S with only 50 units being produced. It is the uglier McLaren, but the size might make it appealing to some people who want to make a display of the collectible item. These models are built by Italian firm Tecnomodel and they are an exact copy of the real car inside and out. They come on a carbon fiber effect cushion and the carbon on their bodies are hand painted.
Other miniature McLarens available through the company’s merchandise division include 1:43 TSM model of the 1993 McLaren F1 XP-5 in dark green featuring gold bits, MP4-12C GT3 in McLaren Orange, and the P1 GTR.
