It took ages for Renault to get on the right track with regards to the revival of the Alpine brand and their lovely A110 sports car. But now, at the 2017 Geneva Motor, Show, they are all set to show us the finished product, the ready-to-roll Alpine A110 with a 1.8-litre 4-cylinder turbocharged engine. 

Set for market release in late 2017, the new Alpine A110 has spec to die for. The dry weight is just 1080kg, and yet you have 252 horsepower and 320 Nm  of torque to lug it about. Get stuffed Alfa Romeo 4C, we reckon!

With  a Getrag 7-speed wet-clutch DCT gearbox, with gear ratios specifically developed for Alpine to ensure optimal performance at all times, Alpine A110 ploughs its way to 100 km/h from nought in 4.5 seconds, and thanks to a single exit active exhaust it sings all the way there. The A110 has three driver modes (Normal, Sport, Track) in which the engine and gearbox settings, steering, ESC, exhaust note and driver display, so you can change not just the performance but also the feel of the car to suit your mood.

Other noteworthy highlights of this desirable object include Brembo brakes with all-aluminium brake calipers, Otto Fuchs 18-inch lightweight forged aluminium wheels, and Sabelt developed one-piece bucket seats that weigh just 13.1kgs each. You also get Alpine-tuned Focal audio system, matte carbon fibre interior accents and brushed aluminum pedals, and smooth natural-grain leather (the last three standard on the Première Edition costing 58,500 Euros).
