On the eve of the 2017 New York Auto Show we’re being offered a peek into the future of Infiniti SUV design with this, the Infiniti QX80 Monograph concept. The design study previews what the brand’s future full-size luxury SUV will look like, and it is rather good.

So the makers of large, luxury SUVs, especially in America, should start worrying right about now. The Infiniti QX80 Monograph manages to look both luxurious and high-end, and really gangsta at the same time!

The highlights of Infiniti QX80 Monograph design include a mix of geometric and organic shapes to combine power with elegance, all reinforced by the sheer size of the thing which stands two meters tall and five meters long. The headlights are another nice feature that extend into thin lights that wrap around the front corners of the hood and run along the wings. The unique‘double-arch’ front grille with its fancy little details, the rear apron with equally fancy tailpipes, brushed aluminium sill step, pop-out door handles, ‘frosted’-effect paint finish, and 24 inch wheels are among the other notable features of the Monograph. Not all of these will make it to the production model, of course.
