Not many of the offerings in the mid-range sedan segment are exciting enough, both to look at and to drive, for us to actually look forward to their launch. The 2018 Infiniti Q50, though, is one of the few exceptions owning to its refreshingly aggressive looks, the high level of standard equipment, and a range of excellent engines and drivetrain options.

All of this means you almost don’t mind that 2018 Infiniti Q50 starts at $34,200 and goes up to a whopping $52,600 for the top-of-the-line model. The 2018 Q50 is available in a total of 12 models — with four powertrain choices and rear-wheel and all-wheel drive available across all trim levels. Available engines include a 3.0-liter V6 twin-turbo with 300 or 400 horsepower, a 2.0-liter four-cylinder turbocharged with 210 horsepower, and an advanced gasoline-electric hybrid rated at 360 horsepower. All 2018 Q50 models come equipped with a refined 7-speed automatic transmission and Drive Modes, but all-wheel-drive is optional.
