Following yesterday’s leaked pictures, Mazda decided to release the official details on the Minagi Crossover Concept. The Mazda Minagi compact crossover SUV concept car will premiere at the 2011 Geneva Motor Show and showcases the firm’s new KODO – Soul of Motion design language.
Although Mazda is reluctant to comment, but this car previews the next generation CX-5 crossover. With this new design the Minagi will be able to take on the 2011 Kia Sportage which has already met an enormous success in the market.
Besides the Minagi Mazda will also bring their SKYACTIV technologies to the Geneva show. The Minagi itself is equipped with a SKYACTIV engine and SKYACTIV transmission fitted to a SKYACTIV body and chassis. These combine in a low-weight yet highly safe package.
