The ninth generation of Honda Civic will be unveiled at the Frankfurt Motor Show in September. Here’s the first official details on the car.

The way the new 2012 Honda Civic looks is still a mystery, but with the facts they have revealed so far, you can tell how it’ll drive. And it seems to be good. Honda says they have concentrated a huge amount of time and effort improving ride quality and handling of the Civic.

The new Civic maintains its rear torsion beam suspension system, for the sake more interior space, but it’s upgraded with clever fluid-filled compliance bushes to improve overall ride performance and handling. This fancy setup also results in better stability, particularly at high speeds.

A;though the main focus was to make sure the 2012 Civic has a sweet ride, but that doesn’t mean there will be no improvement in other areas. According to Honda you can count on stand-out looks, class-leading space for passengers and luggage and the Japanese car maker’s legendary reliability and low running costs.

The new Honda Civic goes on sale in early 2012.
