2012 LA Auto Show Highlights: AMG Stand

AMg LA Auto Show at 2012 LA Auto Show Highlights: AMG Stand

This year at the Los Angeles Auto Show AMG had two new cars to present. First we had the incredible Mercedes SLS Black Series, a tougher, louder, more powerful version of the German super car, and the new Mercedes GL63 AMG, an absolutely bonkers SUV. Here we take a closer look at both cars as Mercedes reporter Torie Campbell gives us a comprehensive tour of the AMG stand.

The AMG 6.3-litre V8 engine in the SLs Black generates a power output of 464 kW (631 hp) at 7400 rpm and accelerates the most dynamic gull-wing model of all time to 100 km/h in 3.6 seconds. The GL63 is powered by the AMG 5.5-litre V8 biturbo engine, which develops a peak output of 410 kW (557 hp) and maximum torque of 760 Nm.
