Peugeot announced the official pricing of its brand-new crossover vehicle the 2008. This is a small SUV with a nice trendy design that is available from just £12,995, which is frankly astonishing. It is cheaper than most small hatchbacks in the British market.

Granted, the 2008 is based on the 208 hatchback, but that doesn’t mean it’s rubbish. You can have it with four-wheel-drive, and performance-wise, it is on the par with other small crossovers in this segment.

The Peugeot 2008 is available in the UK with a choice of four trim levels: Access+, Active, Allure & Feline, six engines, six alloy wheel designs, eight colors, and 18 options. The Allure and Feline models also get Peugeot’s Grip Control system as standard, which optimises traction in poor conditions, along with ‘Mud & Snow’ tyres.

The car can be ordered with the new 3 Cylinder VTi 82bhp petrol engine, capable of 74.3 mpg and 98 g/km CO2, in addition to the normal range of four-cylinder petrol and diesel units.
