The long-awaited and highly anticipated 2015 Honda Civic Type R has finally become available to order in the hot hatch country, United Kingdom. Customers are asked to place an order with a £3,000 deposit at their local Honda dealer, and then the arrival of the car in early 2015.

Honda has put a lot of effort on this and spent a great deal of time and money to make sure the new Type R is superior not just compared to its predecessors, but also to everything the competition can throw at it. That is why it comes with a number of ‘firsts’ in this class, including our-point Adaptive Damper System and torque mapping.

The 2015 Honda Civic Type R is in an odd position strategically, since it replaces a model that wasn’t received very well by the fans as it simply wasn’t as good as the previous version which it replaced. So the new Type R is sort of going back to basics while introducing new things. There is no guarantee this new mix will work well, but everything we’ve heard about so far has been great.

Honda is hopeful that the demand for the new Type R will set new pre-order records, complementing nicely the orders already in place for the upcoming NSX supercar.
