Finnish car maker Toroidion showed up at the 2015 Top Marques Monaco with a rather baffling creation. On the surface the Toroidion 1MW looks like a badly made kit car, but it is in fact a 1,341 horsepower speed machine!

So you get from Toroidion 1MW the same sort of power a Koenigsegg One:1 delivers, only this one doesn’t emit anything while generating that power because it is fully electric. The 1MW features an electric drivetrain that can generate a peal output of a mega watt, hence the name of the car.

Toroidion is yet to reveal the technical details of this astonishing machine, but do not expect the 1MW to come out tomorrow  and start smashing speed records. The car appears to have the aerodynamic properties of a tree frog and nobody knows if the electric motors in it will actually work in the real world.

That doesn’t mean what Toroidion has achieved here is not significant. The startup company has only been around for four years and already they have made this. So they have definitely got something. They might want to hire better stylists though.
