Even though Chevrolet claims the Colorado mid-size pickup is USA’s “hottest-selling truck” right now, they felt the need to improve and spice it up by adding two new special edition models. The 2016 Colorado Midnight and Trail Boss editions will hit the showrooms this fall with cooler styling and greater specs than normal models.

Let’s begin with Chevy Colorado Midnight Edition, a truck designed for who like the color black. Following the success of the Silverado Midnight Edition, Chevy has given a similar treatment to the Colorado, with the body as well as grille, the bowtie emblem and the 18-inch aluminum wheels all finished in black. Available with two- or four-wheel-drive, and a choice of a 2.5L, 3.6L and 2.8 Duramax, Colorado Midnight also gets black spray-on bedliner and soft, folding tonneau cover and Chevrolet-logo sill plates.

As for the Chevrolet Colorado Trail Boss edition, this version gives functionality the same priority as style, boasting the Z71 off-road truck suspension package consisting of more aggressive tires and off-road-inspired appearance. The main highlights of this model include black-finished 17-inch aluminum wheels matched with aggressive Goodyear Wrangler DuraTec 265/65R17 all-terrain tires, bold fender flares and tubular assist steps, a black bowtie grille emblem and a spray-on bedliner, plus a set of all-weather floor mats inside the truck.
