Mazda has a habit of launching special editions in the important market so as to keep things fresh for the customer. The latest special model for Britain is the Mazda2 Sport Black Edition, a tarted-up version of the supermini boasting exclusive exterior appointments.
To be launched on September 1, Mazda2 Sport Black Edition is based on the 90ps SE-L Nav model powered by a 1.5-litre normally-aspirated 90ps SKYACTIV-G petrol engine. What sets it apart from the ordinary models is a number of sport body components including front and side skirts, roof spoiler and chrome exhaust trim, all in black.
For the body you can choose between Soul Red Metallic and Snowflake White Pearlescent, and the option of two optional exterior graphic designs and contrasting door mirror covers. Customers can choose to add either or both of these decals to their Sport Black. In addition Soul Red door mirrors on Snowflake White Pearlescent cars and Brilliant Black mirrors on Soul Red Metallic cars.
In terms of equipment, Mazda2 Sport Black Edition comes with all the standard features of the SE-L Nav model, plus 16” Gunmetal alloy wheels, rear privacy glass, auto lights, rain-sensing wipers and rear parking sensors.
