We don’t know for sure, but there must have been people writing to Bentley complaining they find the W12 Flying Spur a bit too powerful but the V8 version not powerful enough. So they went ahead and made the new Bentley Flying Spur V8 S which slots between the two, packing 528 horsepower.

Bentley Flying Spur V8 S gets the same 4.0-litre twin-turbo V8 you find in the base model in the range, but here it is tuned to generate 21 extra horsepower. Not sure what that would accomplish in the real world, but in the lab they found it results in a 0 to 100 km/h sprint time of 4.9 seconds (0-60 mph in 4.6seconds) – 0.3 seconds faster than the regular model – and a top speed of 306 km/h (190 mph).

But a little bit of extra oomph is not all you get with the Spur S. The car also comes with a number of sporting styling cue for a more aggressive look. The main features include black radiator grille, rear diffuser and a unique grille insert. You also get 20” open-spoke painted wheels and a range of Mulliner options such as 21” black wheels, dark-tint lights (front and rear), black gloss exterior mirror covers. Piano-black wood veneers and a three-spoke sports steering wheel are main highlights of the interior.

Furthermore, Bentley Flying Spur V8 S boasts new responsive suspension tuning and re-calibrated Continuous Damping Control (CDC) and Electronic Stability Control tuned for sporty handling without compromising ride comfort.
