2017 Camaro ZL1 Looks Sublime Testing on the Nurburgring

Make no mistake, compared with European sports car the Chevy Camaro is still a crude, unsophisticated and rather vulgar creature. But we’d be lying if we said we are not totally hot in the trouser area for the new 2017 Camaro ZL1. Just look at the damn thing go as it tackles the ‘Ring’s bends. It looks fantastic!

We like the 2017 Camaro ZL1, both in terms of looks and performance, better than most European sports cars in the same way that we like Pamela Anderson. Sure, she ain’t no Mélanie Laurent – nowhere near as classy and refined – but from a purely physical point of view which one you’d rather bang? Yea, we thought so.

Anyway, back to the car. The 2017 Camaro ZL1 is the hottest version of the muscle car ever with a new supercharged 6.2L V-8 engine estimated at 640 hp. The car comes with either a 10-speed automatic transmission (featured on the red car here) or a six-speed manual (blue car). It comes as standard with Magnetic Ride suspension and an electronic limited-slip differential, Driver Mode Selector, dual-mode exhaust and advanced connectivity features. So it is fair to say the new ZL1 is a proper daily drivable hot rod. Oh, it also comes as a convertible.
