This is what Chrysler has prepared to take on the mighty 2017 Ford Raptor with. It is called the Ram Power Wagon, and it is pitched by the manufacturer as the “most capable off-road truck in America” which is debatable. But there is no denying that at $51,695, the Ram Power is an enticing proposition.

The 2017 Ram Power Wagon starts to woo the pickup truck crowd with its looks, which has feature such as black accented grille and tailgate, nostalgic graphics inspired by trucks from 70s and 80s, new tire-tread-embossed seats with Power Wagon logo embroidery on the upper bolsters. But this is just the beginning. Next, there is all the technical goodness this truck boasts.

The technical highlights of the 2017 Power Wagon include a 12,000-pound Warn winch, Bilstein mono-tube shocks, five-link rear coil spring suspension, Smart Bar electronic disconnecting sway bar, electric locking front and rear differentials, 33-inch Goodyear Wrangler DuraTrac tires, complete under-chassis armor, and a 6.4-liter HEMI V-8 with 410 horsepower and 429 lb.-ft. of torque. These seem to be enough to give the Raptor something to think about.
