Supercars to Come: McLaren Super Series & Pagani Huayra Roadster

It is sort of anti-climactic that we already know what the two biggest super car debuts of the year 2017 are and we haven’t even gone pass January yet. It also means from now till March when these two, the McLaren Super Series and the Pagani Huayra Roadster, will be unveiled at the Geneva Motor Show we’re going to get treated to a ton of teasers.

But do not despair because these two bad boys are totally worth the wait. Let’s begin with the McLaren Super Series, the replacement for the 650S which, according to McLaren, is not only technically more advanced than its predecessor, it also looks a helluva lot better. It has features like an active wing that extends over the full rear width and dihedral doors with new scoops in them. To be honest though, we’re not excited about the P14 itself, but rather all the amazing variants it will eventually and inevitably spawn over the next few years. We can’t wait to its LongTail version.

As for the next big thing, the Pagani Huayra Roadster, we’ve been speculating about this car for years and it seems we are not going to be disappointed. It would be unrealistic to expect a small car maker like Pagani who makes a new model every fifteen years or so to come up with a whole new design for the Roadster, but from what we’re hearing the drop-top Huayra has a number of fairly substantial, and very exquisite, differences with the hardtop version that make it look pretty fresh. Obviously, the production will be strictly limited and the price tag will be eye-watering.
