When you talk about hot hatchbacks one of the best names you mention is certainly the Renaultsport Mégane. This is the latest 2009 edition of the car which is fully prepared to take on VW Golf GTI, Mazda3 MPS and Ford Focus RS.

Megane 250 uses a 2.0 liter 16V turbocharged engine with 250 hp, hence the name, and 340 Nm of torque. It is tuned to give 80 percent of its torque from very low revs, 1900 rpm, and that makes the car nimble and agile, exactly the qualities a performance hatch back needs. The car has a six speed manual gearbox and like other sport hatches by Renault, Clio and Twingo, is available with choice of two chassis, standard sport or the cup. The latter comes with a limited slip differential for better traction and handling.

To distinguish the 250 Sport from regular Meganes, it features a funky bodykit with diffuser and splitter, single central exhaust and blacked out 18 inches rims to make it look more sporty. As for the inside, it’s all about sportiness as well, sport seats, analogue rev-counter with visual and audible gearshift indicator, the aluminium pedals and the Renaultsport steering wheel complete with thumb grips, plus numerous Reanultsport logos here and there.
