TechArt revealed their new edition of the awesome GT Street R for 2010 Geneva Motor Show, and it’s just as breathtaking as ever! This one’s based on the 2010 Porsche 911 Turbo but when TechArt’s done modifying it, you can barley recognize it. It comes with a massive aerodynamic kit which revamps the looks of the car, but then it needs to be massive to cope with the monster that lives under the hood!

Th standard flat-six engine of 2010 911 Turbo develops 500 hp, but TechArt TA 097/T3.1 performance kit bumps it up to 660 hp and 860 Nm of torque. The car’s permanent four-wheel drive system remains intact but the tuner modifies the standard 6-speed gearbox and installs a sport clutch on it.

Therefore it becomes capable of doing 0-100 km/h in 3.5 seconds and can reach a top speed of 345 km/h. So as you see it has to come with that low riding front splitter and adjustable rear spoiler to remain on the ground at high speed!

Furthermore to achieve more grip, they have fitted the GT Street with 19 and 20-inch TECHART Formula 5-spoke light alloy wheels wrapped in Conti Sport Contact 3 or Michelin Pilot Sport Cup Plus tires. And as usual there’s a sport suspension system lowering the car by 25 mm, which also comes with a lift system that can raise the front axle by as much as 60mm.

This is an astonishing car, and thank God that such cars are still alive in this world of pathetic hybrids and electric cars cuffins!
