The stunning new Peugeot RCZ showed brilliant performance at the 2010 Nurburgring 24 hours race as they managed to secure the first and third place in D1T diesel category. This victory for Peugeot is very remarkable for two reasons, first they are going to launch the car into the market very soon and this racing title can help with the marketing, and second, because the winning cars were pretty much factory standard.
Both cars were powered by Peugeot’s 2.0 litre HDi FAP diesel engine developing 200 hp, the same that you will be able to buy in a couple of weeks. And the rest of the car, apart from some mandatory safety features was also identical to the road-going versions. This also shows that the RCZ is made properly as it tolerated 24 hours of constant torture and didn’t go wrong.
2010 Peugeot RCZ is priced from £20,450.
