General Motors confirmed official pricing and specs of the all-new 2011 Chevrolet Cruze, which will go on sale in the US from September. The Cruze is a very strategic product for Chevrolet in the mid-size sedan segment, and for that reason it’s priced very reasonably starting form just $16,995, including destination charge.

That is the price of the base LS model, which is equipped very generously. The car comes as standard with OnStar system, with a six-month subscription including Turn-by-Turn navigation and it also features air conditioning, power windows, power door locks with remote keyless entry, driver information center, and XM Radio with three month trial subscription.

Standard safety features include 0 air bags, StabiliTrak electronic stability control with rollover sensing, traction control, anti-lock brakes, collapsible pedal system, power rear-door child safety locks. Chevrolet Cruze LS is powered by 1.8L Ecotec engine and six-speed manual transmission.

Then there is the LT trim level starting from $18,895 powered by a 1.4L Ecotec turbo and six-speed automatic transmission. This model also comes with 16-inch alloy wheels. The Cruze Eco which has the same $18,895 MSRP and does 40 miles per gallon highway, comes with 17-inch alloy wheels with ultra low-rolling resistance tires, and enhanced aerodynamic performance package.

The top of the range model is the Cruze LTZ starting from $22,695, featuring six-way power driver seat, leather seating surfaces, leather-wrapped steering wheel and shift knob, cruise control, Bluetooth phone connectivity, USB port with audio interface, steering-wheel mounted audio controls, and remote vehicle start, automatic climate control, auto-dimming inside rearview mirror, and ultrasonic rear-parking assist, and 18-inch rims.

The LTZ is powered by the 1.4L Ecotec turbo and six-speed automatic transmission.

Optional extras for the 2011 Chevrolet Cruze include:

— In-dash navigation system with 40-gigabyte hard drive, enabling pause-and-play radio, downloading of audio CDs, or transferring MP3 files from a USB memory device
