Now that the Spain proved they now how to make great supercars with the amazing Spano GTA and the awesome Tramontana, when they talk about a new model you automatically now it’s something serious. Meet the Izaro GTE, which looks much simpler than other Spanish supercars, but it’s going to have a much harder job than both. It wants to be powerful, green, and affordable. A very hard trick to pull.
The Izaro GTE will be powered by either a hybrid or an all-electric drivetrain which should have between 450 to 500 hp. That in combination with the lightweight body which should weigh around 1000 Kg, should give the car a sub four second zero to 100 km/h acceleration time.
We keep saying should because for now it’s just a concept in someone’s mind and has a long way ahead to become reality. The best part of this concept they are developing is the price. Despite all the power and technology a car like the GTE will feature, they are determined to keep the price of the car between 50 to 60,000 euros. If it’s so easy for a small start-up company, we wonder why big manufacturers don’t make something like it!
