Holden Special Vehicles has prepared an ultra-hot version of the Grange WM3 for 2011 featuring more power, new styling kit and new technologies. The new styling is a bit ghastly to be honest, but as far as performance matters it’s superb. The WM3 is powered by the company’s 325kW 6.2-litre LS3 V8 engine which has 550 Nm of torque.

The new model gets the firm’s unique ‘hi-flow’ intermediate exhaust with bi-modal rear mufflers. Apart from obvious benefits of this system for the power output, it also gives the Grange a deep roar.

The HSV Grange WM3 will receive a new front and rear design, and for the first time will incorporate Daytime Running Lamps, and gets a new premium leather colour option in Light Urban, which is available as an alternative to Onyx Black for the interior.

Despite the new updates, there’s no getting away from the fact that this design, inside and out, is old!

One of the highlights of the new WM3 is the HSV’s Enhanced Driver Interface (EDI) which is an intuitive touch screen performance data interface. EDI delivers real-time vehicle dynamics and performance data to the fingertips of drivers. It also gets the Side Blind Zone Alert (SBZA) which provides the driver information and warning when objects are passing through their vehicle’s blind spot, as standard.
