This awesome thing you see here is called the Rally Fighter, which sounds like a toy, and it is the first open source car! So like an open source software you’ll be able to download its technical data regarding chassis and everything and then modify it to your own spec, and then of course have Local Motors build it for you.

But that’s geeky stuff we don’t like. This car is so good by default that we wouldn’t want to change a thing anyway. The Rally Fighter features a tubular steel space frame, a 6.2 Liter, V8 Engine with 430 hp and rear wheel drive. It is old school fun! And thanks to its unique structure and variable ride height, you can have fun anywhere on any kind of surface.

The car has an estimated MSRP of around 59,000 USD. The final production model will make its debut at this year’s SEMA show.
