Mazda3 16 Diesel at Mazda3 1.6 Diesel

Mazda adds fuel economy to the qualities of the 3 which include stylish body, sporty drive, cool interior design and compact size. They did it by adding the new 1.6 diesel model o the range, powered by the updated Euro 5 compliant 1.6-litre MZ-CD common-rail diesel engine, mated to a six-speed manual transmission.

This variant of Mazda3 achieves 2.2 percent reduction in fuel consumption to 4.4 litres per 100km / 64.2mpg (combined) and 1.7 percent reduction in CO2 emissions to 117g/km. As for the power, it delivers 85kW/115 PS with 270 Nm of torque, which is fairly enough for a car of this size.

The updated 1.6-liter engine uses an oxidation catalyst to increase the exhaust gas temperature and improve particulate combustion, enabling the DPF to operate without the use of an additive.  Consequently, the newly coated DPF does not require maintenance and achieves a significant saving in running costs.

Standard features on all Mazda3 models include power adjustable door mirrors, height and reach adjustable steering wheel, air-conditioning, power front windows, remote central locking, driver’s seat with height and lumbar adjustment, and a radio/CD player with four speakers, plus MP3 capability and an AUX jack for hooking up MP3 devices.

Depending on grade, the Mazda3 adds features like a Bluetooth® interface, a Bose® premium surround sound system, automatic dual-zone climate control air-conditioning, keyless entry and start system, auto-dimming rear-view mirror, rear parking sensor system, heated windscreen, and a rain and light sensor system.  An integrated navigation system which uses a 4.1-inch display and can be operated from the steering wheel, is available.  Navigation data is stored on a compact SD card.
