Honda finally released a proper teaser picture for the 2012 Honda Civic. This time it has noting to do with technical stuff, and shows the taillights and the rear hatch.

So the new Civic is less crazy and has a more elegant, judging by this picture and comparing it to the back-end of current five-door hatchback. A really cool touch here is that the taillights also form the rear spoiler.

Talking about the 2012 Civic, Honda says almost all the body components have been redesigned with particular focus on ride and handling, reduced CO2 emissions, interior quality, while preserving the class-leading cabin and boot space and flexible practicality.

The new Honda Civic will be launched at the 2011 IAA Frankfurt Motor Show in September, and will hit European showrooms in early 2012.
