Here we have a whole bunch of new Porsche 911 materials, including the first live pictures of the car shot at a private showing in Porsche Museum, and a couple of videos showcasing the new technical features of the 991.
First of all, we have to say, the 991 looks even better in the flesh than in the press pictures we saw earlier. We also quite like the new interior, even though it’s too much buttons. But hey, it’s German after all!
In the videos, after an introduction of the new 911, a bit of history lesson about the 911’s pedigree, you learn about the car’s PDK transmission and how it enhances efficiency, and the new start/stop system fitted to it. You also get to know the new 7-speed manual gearbox and see it in action. The 7th gear has a long ratio, which reduces fuel consumption.
