Time and again we heard rumors about a replacement for the lovely Honda/Acura NSX, but none of them had actually any substance. This time, it seems to be on.

Sources suggest that the new Acura sportscar you will be seeing in the Avengers movie with Tony Stark at the wheel – the car that Honda officials maintain is a one-off – is actually the base for the new NSX.

It seems to have all the bases covered, at least design-wise, and there definitely is a market for a new NSX. So why shouldn’t Honda make it.

If they finally made up their mind to put the car into the produciton, the Nissan GTR-rivalling NSX will be getting a V6 engine boosted by two electric motors. It could also get four-wheel-drive and have a price of around £65,000.
