Chevrolet Camaro ZL1 at Camaro ZL1 At The Nurburgring: Final Test

It’s become fashionable these days for new sports car to have the word ‘Nurburgring’ somewhere in their promotional materials. The Americans have become particularly obsessed with this German race track.

Cadillac has been banging on for quite a while about their Nurburgring voyage in the process of developing the new ATS, and now it’s Chevrolet’s turn to tell us the tale of the ZL1 at the ‘Ring.

There’s no doubt a car developed at the Green Hell will offer fantastic handling, but you have to also consider the negative effect it has on the car’s ride quality and comfort. Chevy thinks they’ve arrived at a good compromise here.

Powered by a supercharged V-8 engine producing an estimated 550 horsepower (410 kW), the Chevrolet Camaro ZL1 will be the fastest Camaro ever offered by Chevrolet. And more than just power, the ZL1 features technologically advanced and highly developed chassis and suspension systems that help it deliver balanced, track-ready handling and braking power to complement its high engine output.

And with a price of just over $50K, it will be an amazing bang for the buck.
