If these leaked patents are legit, Honda is already working on a drop-top version of the NSX supercars.

The NSX itself is not due until at least three years, but there’s a possibility Honda first launches the roadster version. They have already made one for The Avengers movie.

The Honda NSX convertible looks, if anything, better than the hardtop. It’s not clear yet whether it features a folding hard top or just a traditional fabric roof. In fact, the existence of the car itself is confirmed in the first place, but it’s an inevitable path for car makers to launch a drop-top version of successful sportscars. So it’s only a matter of time.

We remember not that long ago Honda refused point blank to greenlight the NSX project. But now they are working full time to make different versions of the car. We’re not complaining of course. It’s great news, and we do hope Honda put the car in production ASAP.
