Lexus UK just released a new video they made at the Geneva Motor Show earlier in the month, highlighting the new Lexus RX. The video which is an interview with chief engineer Katsuda-san, works a teaser to announce more models are in the line to get the new spindle grille, Lexus’ design signature, in near future. By the looks of things, the LS flagship will be the next model to get spindled!
This whole new look began with the new Lexus GS. The spindle grille is the feature that is supposed to give Lexus a more aggressive and sporty look, thus shaking off the brand’s associate image as a dull and boring car maker for the elderly. It worked on the GS, it really is an amazing looking thing. We’re not sure about the RX though, mainly because it’s the same old design with the spindle grille glued to the front. The GS, on the other hand, was designed around the grille, so the lines kinda match.
The new, upgraded Lexus RX model range made its world debut at the 2012 Geneva Motor Show. The new RX exterior features a new, more elegant and aggressive frontal design. An enhanced interior offers an expanded choice of colour schemes, new trim finishes, a new steering wheel, a revised instrument binnacle and a second generation Remote Touch Interface (RTI).
