Only now Renault decided to celebrate their 2011 Formula 1 world title with Red Bull Racing, and they do it with a limited and special version of the Clio RS. It’s a Clio RS fitted with all the goodies of the Cup model, and sporting a cool black and yellow livery. The Clio RS Red Bull Racing RB7 costs 27,900 EUR, and offers 203 horsepower.
To make the RS’ styling details really pop, Renault has painted the front F1-style blade, along with door mirrors and the rear diffuser, in Sirius Yellow to complement the Profond Black body and the 18-inch black Interlagos wheels fitted with Bridgestone RE050A tyres.
The hot hatch also features Renault Sport chequered-pattern roof decal which combines with the Red Bull Racing badging on the doors.
Interior features include automatic climate control, automatic headlight activation, a hands-free card, yellow fabric Recaro bucket seats, a Renault Sport-badged gear lever knob, a personalised numbered plaque and an audio connection box. It also features R.S. Monitor, an electronic on-board driving coach which displays performance-related data – such as 0-100kph times and other information aimed at fine-tuning driving styles – in real time.
This year Renault is very busy in F1, providing Red Bull Racing, Lotus F1 Team, Caterham F1 Team and Williams F1 Team with engines and technical support.
