Following the Laguna and Koleos, Renault is also launching a special Black Edition version of Fluence. The idea is you have a very ordinary sedan, in this case powered by a dismal dCi 110 engine mated to a six-speed manual gearbox, that looks like a cool and sporty car thanks to the Black visual treatment. It’s good you know, if all you care about is appearance.
Renault claims an average fuel consumption of 4.6 litres/100km (equivalent to 120g of CO2/km), which is quite remarkable. You wouldn’t guess that looking at the handsome body kit and the sporty rims.
The Black Edition Fluence is based on the Dynamique equipment level, to which Carminat TomTom Live navigation and rear parking sensors have been added. The list of new features also include 17-inch diamond-effect alloy wheels, specific front and rear bumpers, a gloss black diffuser and specific body-colour side protective mouldings. Extensive used has also made of chrome details for the lower window trims, door handles, boot trim and exhaust tailpipe.
Inside the cabin you are treated with mixed fabric/TEP upholstery, a leather-trimmed steering wheel and gear lever knob and aluminium pedal covers.
Renault Fluence Black Edition is priced at 23,500 Euro.
