The 9th edition of Top Marques Monaco comes to an end, setting new records for the number of visitors and sales. 34,700 visitors from around the world traveled to Monte Carlo for the show, some of them blowing up big piles of money on cars, yachts, watches and other stuff, contributing to the 245 million Euro sales record. Here’s a small gallery of some of the best cars on the ground, plus some interesting facts about the show.
As always, TMM hosted a couple of VIPs and celebrities. This year, and in addition to H.S.H Prince Albert II who basically runs the whole thing, we had Pamela Anderson coming to visit Gemballa, Eddie Jordan, former F1 team owner, Tommy Hilfiger, Sonny Anderson (former footballer player with AS Monaco who was a guest of DeLaVilla), and football team AS Monaco President Dmitriy Rybolovlev.
Among the supercar manufacturers attending this year’s show were Koenigsegg, Pagani, GTA Motor, Tushek Supercar, Noble, Roding Automobile, Savage, Fisker, Soleil Motors, MS Design, Mansory, Gembella, Hamann, Merdad Collection, MTM, DeLavilla, Pace-Insider Cars and Top Car as well as classics like Aston Martin, Ferrari and Jaguar. There was a huge increase in the number of motor bikes presented this year: DK Motorrad, Greber, Avinton, as well as electric bike from LITO Green Motion.
Exhibition space for the show increased by 20% this year compared to 2011 – with an extra 500m² in the new Espace Diaghilev to accommodate the successful development of the prestigious watch, jewelry and luxury products element of the show. The Espace Ravel area exhibited 42 stands with nearly 60 car and bikes as well as a further 28 cars and bikes outside in the pits available for test drives.
Top Marques Monaco also marked the launch of the Dutch super car Savage Rivale ‘GTR’. Limited to 69 units, the GTR is a lightweight (1039 kg) luxurious and very unique car. We also has the world premiere launch of the ‘Renovatio T 500’ from Tushek (Slovenia) the lightest supercar with a V8 engine. What’s more. the “Golden Dartz Kombat” from Dartz made an appearance in anticpation of its debut in the Paramount Pictures movie “THE DICTATOR”.
Among other notable marques, we can mention Roding Automobile showing their new 280 km/h roadster, Fisker Karma which caught the eye of Prince Albert, and Koenigsegg Agera R. Among the tuners, Mansory was the most active, bringing models from Audi, Bentley, Lamborghini, Maserati and Rolls Royce.
Apart form all the amazing cars, Top Marques Monaco also features a collection of the world’s best watches, from high-end brands like Franck Muller, Roger Dubuis, and Backes & Strauss London.
