Renault released the first pictures of the new, face-lifted Espace, due to be revealed in full later this year. It really is just a face-lift, and by that we mean only the face of the car is changed. Based on Renault’s new design philosophy, the Espace gets a new front grille, a new bumper and fog lamps, and that’s about it. The rest of the car seem to be unchanged over the current model which has been around since 2006.

As with other new Renaults, the 2013 Espace’s big front grille is dominated by a mahoosive Renault badge. Some nice chrome detailing above the badge and more chrome for fog lamps surrounds give the car a touch of luxury. The bumper also has a distinctive design. The Espace continues to offer class-leading cabin space, modular layout, comfort and safety.

A brand-new version is already in the works, which is why Renault didn’t bother much with this facelift. In its 28 years of presence in the market, more than 1.2 million units of Renault Espace have been sold.
