Even though the crossovers are the new craze in the automotive world, there are still people who appreciate the simple and honest fun of a good little hot hatch. The guys at K-Tec are among these people, and they’re showing their love by upgrading a Clio RS to 215 horsepower and 175lb-ft of torque. It’s not that big of an improvement over the standard car, but it’s enough to make it more fun and delicate.

Even this seemingly small gain in power needed a lot of car. The ingredients of the engine tuning program include -1 x set of Cat Cam 402 high performance billet steel camshafts, -1 x genuine Renault cam timing belt, -1 x set genuine Renault camshaft caps, -Installation by K-Tec Racing’s technicians and -Bespoke K-Tec Racing OBDII ECU remap.

This kit costs a modest £1366, but if you want visual upgrades like the matt paint job or the wheels, you obviously need to write a bigger check. You shouldn’t though. A hot hatchback should look innocuous to fool everyone into thinking it’s harmless, right until the moment it bites!
