Today, May 4, Chevrolet Corvette goes on sale for the first time ever in South Korea. Not sure why it took GM officials so long to launch the car in that corner of the world – they probably thought there isn’t a market for it in Korea – but now that it’s in it, it’s in it to win it. In Korea, Corvette Coupe is priced at KRW 86.4 million ($76,399) and a special leather interior package is available at KRW 3 million ($2,653).
The legendary American sports car was first launched in 1953, and for years it was the only weapon America car industry had to fight the European rivals with. And while it’s a battle Corvette never seem to win, the car has a huge fan base all around the world. It might not be just as refined and delicate as the European sports cars, but it’s a helluva fun. The Corvette is all shock and awe!
