The new version of Chrysler 300C will go on sale in UK from June, starting at £35,995 for the Limited version. There’s an Executive model – which gets all the good stuff – and costs £39,995. This handsome American sedan is only available in the British market with a 3.0-litre V6 diesel engine producing 236bhp and 540Nm of torque.
Still, a car that looks like this must have a V8 petrol. The diesel engine in this 300 might be good – it’s certainly economical at 39.8 mpg – but it doesn’t match the character of the car. Depending on the wheel size, this engine has a CO2 figure of 185 to 191g/km.
The top of the line Executive model comes with adaptive cruise control, blind spot monitoring system, forward collision warning, keyless entry, powered rear sunshade, and heated and ventilated Nappa leather seats among its many standard features.
As for the safety features, standard equipment on the entry-level Limited version includes heated front and rear seats, load levelling suspension and height control, LED daytime running lamps, electronic stability control (ESC), hill start assist, active head restraints, and curtain, side, front and rear airbags.
So we’re looking at a 40 grand sedan – if you want the one with good equipments – with a V6 diesel. Yes, it looks kinda cool, but 40 grand?
