Not sure how big of a success the £200,000 M600 super car has been for Noble, but they are apparently thinking about launching a drop-top version. The British sports car maker, who operates out of a small factory in Leicester, is pondering the possibility of making the M600 Roadster, if there’s demand for it. And they’re looking at the Chinese market to find that demand.

The thing is, the M600’s only redeeming feature that justifies its fat price tag, is its awesome speed. It won’t be that fast as a drop-top – you won’t dare going fast in it anyway – and that kinda spoils the whole point of it. If you take the speed out of the equation, you end up with a fairly ugly car, by a not so famous brand, powered by an engine from the Volvo XC90, that costs 200 grand. That is not a very appealing prospect.

But if Noble makes sure they can sell 5 or 6 of these cars, they will probably make it.
