Yes, we already know the new GT500 Mustang is way more powerful than the Camaro ZL1, but still we like to see which one of these muscle cars can make the best of its output. And dyno test is one of the easiest ways to find out. Plus, these cars were at each other’s throat since day one. According to Inside Line’s engineers, the 662-horsepower 2013 Shelby GT500 puts down 603 hp and 595 lb-ft of torque, which is interesting because MotorTrend tested the Gt500 a few weeks ago and arrived at 583 hp. There might be some differences in the way the machines measure the power. IL’s figures for the ZL1 – which has 580 horsepower under the bonnet – are 497 hp and 497 lb-ft.
