Mazda finally released the first official pictures of the new Mazda6 sedan, and although they are not completely revealing, they give us our first glimpse of the highly anticipated car. The 2014 Mazda6 is set for debut at the Moscow Motor Show on Wednesday 29 August, before making its European premiere at the Paris Motor Show in September.
The new Mazda6 is a meeting point for lots of new things Mazda has come up with in the past few years. It is the first production car to feature the Kodo design language in full, it is the first to get company’s new brake energy regeneration, i-ELOOP, and it will be equipped with Mazda’s SKYACTIV engines and transmissions.
The Moscow-bound MAzda6 will be a Russian-specification sedan equipped with a direct-injection SKYACTIV-G 2.0-litre gasoline engine and six-speed SKYACTIV-Drive automatic transmission. The same engine will probably be offered in Europe as well, but Mazda is yet to confirm that.
