Here’s an early look at what the next Renault Clio RS would look like. The new generation Clio – revealed a few days ago – introduces a whole new look for the Renault’s popular hatchback, which is very funky and interesting, but not particularly sporty. That’s where the RS treatment comes in, and changes a few things to make the Clio sporty. And based on what we see here, it works.
As this rendering shows the RS gets new front and rear bumpers with spoiler lip and diffuser, as well as chunkier side skirts, and new tailpipes. Some bigger wheels and lowered suspension in addition to a sportier grille, probably, are other things you can expect to see on the new Clio RS.
As for the technicalities, The new RS is said to be powered by a new 1.6 liter turbo engine with around 220 horsepower mated to the new EDC dual-clutch transgression. It’s a very fast, yet economical setup. There has never been a bad Clio RS, and the evidence are not stacking up for something disastrous this time either.
