Renault tuning specialist K-Tec Racing has come up with an engine upgrade kit for the Renault Megane 265 Trophy which turns the hot hatch into a melting hatch. K-Tec’s ECU remap for the Megane’s 261 bhp F4Rt engine will give it an extra 40 bhp and 60 lb-ft of torque, a significant increase resulting in sharper performance and more driving fun.

The standard car has a 6.0 second figure and 158 mph top speed, which are remarkable figures. K-Tec is yet to test their tweaked car to see what kind of numbers that can achieve, but since we’re talking about a 300 bhp hatchback here, we expect them to be very good.

Despite its big power gain, K-Tec Racing Performance Pack 1 for the RenaultSport Megane 265 Trophy is priced at only £414.00 including installation, rolling road testing and VAT. What’s more, it comes with a 12 month / 30,000 mile supplementary vehicle warranty.

Customers outside the UK can also order the pack and self-install it remotely using the Renflash handset, priced at £395.
