The latest addition to the Fiat 500’s happy family in America is a turbocharged version that combines even more exciting performance with excellent fuel economy, all in one compelling small package. The 500T features a couple of visual features that set it apart from the normal models, but nothing too fancy. It looks pretty much like a standard 500, only it goes faster.
Here’s some running footage of the 500T. Sadly the video does not have audio (at least it doesn’t work for us) but still, it gives you a good look at the little car as it scampers from corner to corner on the race track:
2013 Fiat 500 Turbo features a single turbocharger, twin intercoolers and sport-tuned exhaust to deliver 34 percent more power (135 vs. 101 horsepower) and 53 percent more torque (150 vs. 98 lb.-ft.) compared to the Fiat 500’s naturally aspirated 1.4-liter MultiAir engine.
