Most great super cars have done this little game of taking on a plane. Lamborghini Reventon for instance challenged a F22 Raptor, and Bugatti Veyron took on the Euro Fighter Typhoon. Now Lexus decided the LFA should have this in its portfolio. So they pitted it against a plane, but their plane is an Eclipse 500 small business jet!

It doesn’t exactly convey confidence, but still, it makes for an exciting challenge. The LFA in question is a special Nurburgring model, and it’s got professional driver Scott Pruett at the wheel. He races the Eclipse down the runway of Vance Brand Municipal Airport in Longmont, CO and back, and beats it with a time of 56 seconds. Check out the action below:
