Vauxhall Mokka at Opel/Vauxhall Mokka Earns 5 Star Safety Rating

The results of latest EuroNCAP crash tests are out, and they indicate that the new Opel/Vauxhall Mokka crossover (Buick Encore in America) is a five-star car, which mean it is as safe as cars of this class currently get. That is a big selling point for a family car like the Mokka.

The Mokka showed great performance in all five safety categories tested by Euro NCAP, scoring maximum points in the safety assist category. NCAP also praised the car’s electronic stability control, its seatbelt reminder function and its speed limitation assistance, all of which contribute in one way or other to safety of the occupants.

Another area where he Mokka performs good is child safety, again an important factor a family car. Thanks to its standard rear outer ISOFIX child seat mountings and fasteners for an additional top-tether belt, the Mokka scored maximum points in this category.

The car’s performance in adult safety was just as impressive, scoring 96 per cent, thanks to its front, side head and side body airbags as well as double belt pre-tensioners with load limiter
