Renault released the first teaser shots and video for the new Captur small crossover in production trim. While it doesn’t look anything as crazy, and, well, interesting as the Captur Concept revealed back in 2011, it seems quite funky and cool.
Just like the new Peugeot 2008 which is a larger, jacked-up version of the 208 hatchback, the Captur is most likely a larger version of the Renault Clio IV. Engine lineup will probably be the same, with a range of fuel efficient petrol and diesel engines. Four-wheel-drive will probably be optional.
Official debut is scheduled on January 11, on the Internet. The real-world debut will probably happen in March during the 2013 Geneva Motor Show.
