DreamWorks teamed up with General Motors to create a one of a kind Camaro to promote their new movie “Turbo”. Unveiled at the Chicago Auto Show, this wild flight of fancy is based on the Camaro ZL1 Coupe.
Features include a massive front splitter which appears to be adjustable, a COPO hood with a large bulge to accommodate that big blower, flared wheel arches and new side sills, rear diffuser and a large rear wing.
Despite the name Turbo, this Camaro is powered by a supercharged V8 rated at 700+ horsepower mated to an automatic gearbox. IT also gets 24-inch wheels, adjustable suspension, and a five-inch tailpipe.
A proper effort then to promote a movie. Turbo, which is like an animation version of Stallone’s Driven with a touch of fantasy, will open on on July 19, 2013. Check out the trailer below:
TURBO is a high-velocity 3D comedy about an underdog snail who kicks into overdrive when he miraculously attains the power of super-speed. But after making fast friends with a crew of streetwise, tricked-out es-car-goes, Turbo learns that no one succeeds on their own. So he puts his heart and shell on the line to help his pals achieve their dreams, before Turbo-charging his own impossible dream: winning the Indy 500.
