Icona revealed its new and highly anticipated super car with some fiery images, which are quite relevant, not just because of the Vulcano name, but also because of this car’s firepower. Icona Vulcano has a V12 engine with 950 horsepower.
That staggering power comes from a Ferrari-sourced V12 paired with an electric motor, and takes the Vulcano from 0 to 100 km/h in 3 seconds flat, claims Icona. The rear-wheel-drive super car can also achieve 350 km/h or 217 mph. So if you just ordered a LaFerrari, you may want to get on the horn with Maranello.
Icona also offers a smaller V6 powertrain. Don’t let that V6 fool you though, because it comes with two meaty turbochargers and two electric motors. They make a total of 880 horsepower, sent to all four wheels. As a result, this version goes from 0 to 100 km/h in 2.9 seconds.
The gorgeous Gran Turismo body is also inspired by Ferrari’s latest GT car, the F12, and as is the case with coachbuilt models, it is way too fancy for most people’s taste. The Vulcano features 20-inch wheels up front and 21-inch out back, behind which you find Brembo brakes.
