Following the launch of the Camaro Coupe Hot Wheels Edition, Chevrolet saw no reason why shouldn’t they make a convertible version as well. So they did, and it is set for a big debut as the festival car at this year’s Indy 500 race.
33 Camaro Convertible Hot Wheels edition have already been delivered to the Indianapolis directors, and they will be driving them during a special event prior to the big race. Meanwhile, both the coupe and convertible versions of the Camaro Hot Wheels will get ready for their market debut as a limited edition with a one-time production run.
The Convertible Hot Wheels is pretty much identical to the Coupe version, apart from the roof arrangement obviously, boasting a metallic blue paint job with Hot Wheels logos – and in this case Indy 500 graphics – special wheels with red lips, and special Hot Wheels side sills.
The car will be available with as LT version powered by a V6 and SS version powered by the V8 engine, which can be had either 400 hp (L99) or 430 hp (LS3) with automatic and manual gearbox respectively.
