One of the best features of the Camaro ZL1 is it Magnetic Ride Control, which is the main reason why this car handles so much better than, say, a Mustang GT500. Now Chevy naturally wants to boast that a bit, but that’s tricky, because technical stuff are boring. So they came up with this cool advertisement to showcase, roughly, who this system works and what it means in terms of drivability.

Basically, Magnetic Ride Control can alter the softness of the suspension according to the road surface. It has small metal particles in its shocks which react to a magnet. When the computer decides the suspension should be stiffened, it activates the magnet, which then attracts the particles, increasing the density of the fluid, thus stiffening the whole thing. When the magnet is deactivated, it all goes back to normal again.
See? Boring!
